Nicholas Bruce
Nick is a vastly experienced international commercial banker and credit officer who retired from Lloyds Bank in late 2015 after 37+ years working with the Group in a variety of credit, relationship, operational and general management roles. He has worked in numerous countries including the UK, the USA, Germany, Panama, Guatemala, Mexico, Singapore and Spain.
During his career with Lloyds, Nick spent over 5 years in a senior management position with the Bank's subsidiary in Colombia, serving as a board director at the time this subsidiary was only part-owned by Lloyds and was a publicly quoted entity on the Bogota Stock Exchange. He also spent a total of over 2 years in Ecuador across several shorter-term postings and has maintained a second home in Ecuador since 2015.
As well as being a Director of Andean Rose, Nick is also a Partner in a small business advisory and consultancy practice based in the US but which operates mainly in Latin America and Europe and he uses his experience to help mainly family-owned private sector enterprises in managing their liquidity, optimising their banking relationships, enhancing their financial flexibility and assessing new investment opportunities.
Nick lives for most of the year in London, UK, but he and his wife Elvi spend 3-4 months each year at their second home in Quito, Ecuador.
